Marion Guthrie is a marketing practitioner, and currently a consultant to small and mid-sized business clients. She focuses on helping companies build revenue by developing and executing strategies for customer engagement.
She’s spent the last 20 years or so working with businesses of all sizes, from Fortune 500’s to start-ups and local nonprofits, and has enjoyed a diverse career as a fundraiser, client services professional, PR practitioner, corporate marketing director, and an entrepreneur.
Marion is passionate about the current evolution into a technology age from an industrial era. She believes this is a unique period in human history where everyone will be impacted and many will choose to engage productively in personal, professional and economic change. As a result her blog posts focus on community, technology, and the rising tide of social business.
Among her professional accolades, she’s been nominated for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Paradigm Award, was an active member of the Board of Directors for Women in Communications, has received the Leadership Award from the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Association, and regularly volunteers her help to the Judge of Elections of her district. She also supported the successful efforts of her mother, Louise Guthrie, in conjunction with the League of Women Voters and the Washington Memorial Chapel to house the Justice Bell, in the Chapel's bell tower rotunda.
